However, too many choices can be overwhelming, and managing schedules, portability, and expiration dates is often challenging. This project develops personalized nutrition solutions tailored to individual needs—simplifying how people choose and use supplements effectively.

We found that many people buy whole bottles of supplements but often forget to take them as directed, leading to waste due to expiration. This stems from limited knowledge and the complexity of tracking multiple supplements.

02 Define

Goal

Our goal is to develop a simplified solution using AI that enhances the experience of purchasing supplements not only for individuals but also for families. By integrating advanced features, we aim to streamline the process and make it easy to manage and buy personalized supplement packs.

Our approach

User Flow

The simplified new user flow for building a personalized supplement package begins with users answering a few questions to assess their dietary habits and health goals. Based on their responses, our AI algorithm suggests a tailored supplement regimen. Users can also build and manage packages for their family.

Design Decision

Our final design improves meal presentation by clearly showing what is included in each meal, minimizing default actions to reduce confusion when editing usage and meals.

Define UI

We decided to use pink and light blue as the primary colour. The pink adds a warm, welcoming touch that is inviting and comforting, while the light blue provides a sense of calm and trustworthiness which aligns with our target users.

05 Outcome

We conducted testing again to evaluate the effectiveness of the enhanced feature.

All testers expressed interest in purchasing a package for themselves and their families, appreciating the enhanced shopping flow.

90%

90% of testers could quickly build a pack and proceed to checkout, showing the effectiveness of the improved navigation and process.

Takeaways

As designers, it’s crucial to confidently voice our insights. Despite potential disagreements from stakeholders, we can use feedback and data to support our design decisions and demonstrate their effectiveness.


The primary goal in design should always be to solve user pain points effectively. By grounding our solutions in real user feedback and data, we ensure that our designs not only meet but exceed user expectations.
